How to choose the right bed:

There are many important factors to consider when selecting a new bed.  The following guide should help you to make the right choice.

Type: Think about the sort of bed you would like.  What do you like or dislike about your current bed? Do you prefer a firm or soft mattress?

Price: The basic rule is "spend as much as you can".  The more expensive a bed is, the better the construction and quality of materials used.  This will give more durability, support and comfort.

Storage: Would you like additional storage space in your home? If so, consider the option of under-bed storage.  This does not affect comfort or quality.

Turning: Most mattresses need to be turned regularly to ensure even wear.  However, mattresses are heavy, so if you can see this being a problem then we suggest you choose a non-turn mattress.

Width: Buy the widest bed that you can for your bedroom.  Wider beds offer greater sleeper space and comfort.

Bases: Bases affect the feel and performance of the mattress.  We strongly recommend that you buy the base and mattress together.  Putting a new mattress on an old base will severely reduce the life of the new mattress.  A firm base will firm up the mattress and give a firm edge.  Opting for a spring base will soften the feel of the mattress and give a softer edge.  This will also take the weight of the sleeper through the base, which will help to prolong the life of the bed as a whole.

Mattress Protectors: We strongly recommend the use of a mattress protector with your new bed. The protector will help to prevent dust mites from entering the mattress, protecting you and your family from allergic reactions to dust mites.
